The Aqua Challenge 2008
Hi Folk,
The Aqua Challenge is back!
31st August at Havalet bay around midday we'll be kicking off the amphibious challenge...
The rules are simple: convert any boat, car, scooter, quad bike, maybe even a lawn mower..!? drive one circuit on the sand, take it to the waters edge.. pilot around a buoy in Havelet Bay, and then finally drive another circuit on the sand to hopefully take you over the finish line. The vehicle to complete the course in the fastest time is the winner. Prizes are also awarded to the best converted car and boat and the most unusual entry. Each entrant is given £100 as a contribution to expenses incurred in building the vehicle.
The 2007 event saw six entries, some of which had more success than others! The winner was the Sark Shark who sailed over from Sark, won the event and then sailed back again! Only one other vehicle managed to complete the course, one sank in the sand, a couple failed when they hit the water and one didn't actually manage to cross the start line.
Please contact Sarah van Vlymen at CMA Events if you're up for it (Tel. 246700)
