Walkers needed for charity event

Islanders are being encouraged to sign up for an annual charity walk.
It is the seventh year it has been held, but its name has changed from the Peter Ward Memorial Midwinter Walk to the Jersey Christmas Walk.
The walk, on 13 December, has three distance options - 40 miles (64km), 25 miles (40km) or 19 miles (31km).
So far, the walks have raised about £75,000 for charity. This year the funds will help Jersey Hospice Care Fighting Motor Neurone Disease.
