The Simpsons get new title sequence
Updated 12.43 Tue Feb 17 2009
The Simpsons have gone HD and to celebrate there is a brand new title sequence.
Now in its 20th season, the cult cartoon has made the switch to high definition television and has made use of wide screen technology.
It is only the second time in the show's 20-year history that a permanent change has been made to the opening sequence.
In the newly created version, Bart Simpson is seen writing on his school blackboard, "HDTV is worth every cent".
When Maggie is scanned at the supermarket, the price now registers as $486.52, double the original price of $243.26.
