Chief Minister answers fifty questions during online chat
The Chief Minister, Senator Terry Le Sueur, answered a total of fifty questions during a live web Q&A session about the draft Strategic Plan.
Senator Le Sueur answered questions on a wide range of topics during the lunchtime and evening sessions. These included population and migration, the future of the finance industry, the introduction of civil partnerships and the Waterfront.
The Chief Minister commented: “I am delighted by the number of people who took the time to go online yesterday to ask me questions both on the Strategic Plan and on wider areas concerning the future of Jersey.”
All the responses to the question and answer session are available on http://www.gov.je/chiefministersqa Those who were unable to take part in the online discussion can still email their comments to yousay@gov.je .
The online discussion was held to coincide with the launch of the first draft of the Strategic Plan earlier this week. The plan is available on www.gov.je/yousay and from the Public Library, Cyril le Marquand House Customer Service Centre, and the States Assembly Information Centre at Morier House.
A final draft version of the plan will be published in early April and will be considered by Scrutiny and debated by the States in June. Every comment received will be considered and feedback will help shape the final version of the plan.
