Guernsey Sunday trading ban eased for liner visits
Guernsey's shopkeepers have been told they will be allowed to open on Sundays when cruise ships are visiting the island.
Cruise ships are expected to visit Guernsey on eight Sundays between May and September this year.
Shops will be exempt from Sunday trading laws on those days, said the Commerce and Employment Department.
The first Sunday will be 2 May when the Black Watch liner is due into St Peter Port with 902 passengers on board. (from BBC)
mmm why only the liners, its about time that the whole Sunday trading laws are sorted..
