Snow and ice causes Jersey Airport to close

Jersey Airport has been closed until 1100 GMT at the earliest, airport officials have said, due to snow and ice.

The airport was closed on Saturday night because of heavy snowfall.

On its website the airport states passengers should "check-in as usual" and regular operational updates will be available online.

Flights were also delayed on Saturday after a lightning strike affected radar equipment.
