Time to do what I want, says shop owner as he closes after 25 years

AFTER 25 years of trading, men’s clothing shop Ray Anthony is to close.
But it is not high rents or the internet which have caused owner Brian Le Noury to shut up shop. He simply wants time to do exactly as he pleases.
Mr Le Noury (pictured) will turn 65 in April and the lease on the Commercial Arcade shop is up on 31 March.
‘Twenty-five years I have been here,’ he said. ‘And 51 years in retail, mostly in the Arcade. I’m not retiring because I am not doing well. I always planned to retire at 65. I have always enjoyed it and I will miss it in some ways. But it is time to move on to other things like travelling and other holidays.’ (from GEP)
