Heather through to quarter finals in Auckland

Heather Watson has won again. She's now through to the quarter finals of the ASB Classic in Auckland.

She beat world number 57 Carla Suarez Navarro in straight sets to reach her first quarter flnal in a WTA event.

The first set went to a tie break, which Heather won 7-5. She took the second set more comfortably, winning 6-1 to go through.

Heather said:

'I'm playing really well in this tournament so far, and getting better and better. I just want to keep it going.'

And ever the professional Heather is taking it all in her stride:

'The only pressure I feel is what I put on myself, I used to get really nervous before matches, but I worked on it. Now, if I win or lose, it's no biggy.'

Currently ranked at 176 in the world, Heather now faces Shuai Peng from China for a semi-final place. (from CTV)
