New Year starts with divorce rush
THIS is the peak month for people seeking legal advice about divorce.
The first day after the New Year break has now become known as D-Day – divorce day – by UK lawyers.
Local advocate Adrian Brown, chairman of the Guernsey Family Bar Association, put the busy January down to Christmas.
‘I think the longer the Christmas break gets… We all know it is forced confinement to the matrimonial home,’ he said. (from GEP)
