Guernsey win medal haul at county cross country champs

Guernsey's athletes were triumphant at the Hampshire AA Cross Country Championships at Fleming Park.
Steve Dawes and Louise Perrio each won the senior titles, and there were impressive team performances as well.
Dawes won by almost a minute and Guernsey took bronze in the team event, with Michael Wilesmith, Lee Garland and Ben Wilen finishing in the top 20.
Perrio won the women's 8.1 km race, finishing eight seconds ahead of Lucy Elliott of Winchester & District.
Nikki Neal finished sixth, Sarah Mercier 11th and Martine Scholes 16th, meaning Guernsey took the silver medal in the team event. (from BBC)
