Guernsey drink-drive limit to be lower, being considered

Guernsey officials are looking into a series of new measures to tackle drink driving

Over a hundred people faced the courts last year because of drink-drive related offences.

But the island's drug and alcohol strategy will soon be pushing for new tools the courts can use to deal with offenders including drink-drive education orders.

During Christmas the anti drink-drive campaigns alone are not completely successful.

The the Home Department is exploring a range of new ideas to see which could work in the island.

They include education orders for offenders and a lower drink-drive limit.

It should be a nil reading ,this way all are sure of what the limit is.
