AN EXTENDED road closure has left bathing pool users frustrated, forcing the group to use ‘filthy’ changing facilities for longer.
The Wet Swimmers group, which meets daily at 9am at La Vallette bathing pools, had to switch from the Ladies’ to the Gents’ Pool when part of the road that runs alongside the two seawater enclosures was closed.
The department said the road would open again on 10 April, with work on the rock face set to start on Monday 21 February.
That was not welcome news for the swimmers who have been unable to access their normal facilities at the Ladies’ Pool. (from GEP)
