Guernsey boaters join forces to oppose mooring fee rise
Boating organisations in Guernsey have banded together to oppose a proposed increase in mooring fees.
The charges rose by 3.5% this year, but could increase a further 15% if the States agrees to rises to a range of fees at the harbours and airport.
The proposed rises are aimed at raising an additional £1m a year in revenue.
David Norman, president of the Marine Traders Association, said the States should stop targeting boaters and start cutting spending. (from BBC)

Such a shame that they are being the scrape goat yet again, the other option in to charge parking fees on harbour land ,this would generate a fine income.the airport do this and it is not moaned about too much so why not the harbours
