Guernsey win Le Quesne inter-insular bowls

Guernsey have won the men's Le Quesne inter-insular bowls match for the first time in 14 years.

The Sarnians overcame their rivals by a single shot at Le Creux, Nigel Collins holding his nerve at the end with a perfectly controlled drive.

Len Le Ber and Mac Timms were the only remaining members of Guernsey's Le Quesne winning squad from 1997.

Jersey enjoyed greater success in the Ladies inter-insular, comprehensively beating their rivals by 42 shots. (from BBC)
