POLICE are hunting a pervert thought to be responsible for DOZENS of sex attacks on BUS SHELTERS!

The drooling fiend has been spotted having what is described by Wítnesses as “energetic sex” with shelters on routes heading towards Islington, north London.

Shoppers, commuters and even THE BLIND have reported coming into contact with the “intimate mess” left behind by the warped maniac.

Police are reluctant to cause panic on the busy public transport routes by sounding a full-scale alert, but are keen to nab the man dubbed the “Shelter Shagger” before the summer holidays.

A source at the Met said: “London’s tourist trade is still very shaky and the last thing we want is visitors worried they may sit in the residue of someone having sex with a bus shelter.

“It is such a difficult stain to remove. Just think how this could affect visitor confidence with the Olympics just a year away.

Nobody will come – hold on, that’s the wrong thing to say.”

For legal reasons, police have not released the names of the shelters so far hit but they are thought to include stops used by the 38, 56, 341, 476, 30 and number 4 services.

A source at Transport for London, the public body responsible for the capitals bus shelters, said: “At a time when we are attempting to get more people on buses and to deter commuters from bringing their cars into the city centre, this is a major concern for us.

“Who wants to be waiting for their bus to work, or home, only to be confronted by a mutter having sex with the shelter?

“The nightmare scenario is if we get a of underprivileged kiddies being subjected to this sort of behaviour. It could send them running amok.

“Obviously a threat to London’s commuters of this magnitude has been reported to the mayor; Boris Johnson.

“He is deeply and personally troubled by this and has asked to be kept informed of developments.”
