New member for Alderney General Services Committee
The States of Alderney has allowed an additional member to sit on its General Services Committee.
Peter Allen joined the group which deals with a range of issues including the railway, harbour and recreation.
He expressed an interest in joining due to his role as Chairman of the Marina Advisory Group, and said the move will allow him to push ahead with the delayed development of a new marina.
As nobody wanted to leave the committee, an extra seat was created.
Mr Allen also stepped down from his place on the island's Building and Development Control Committee.
