I would have to agree in part. Always regretted not putting Grammer down as my first choice. Always suffered from a lack of girls at College.

I didn`t have as much of problem with the lack of girls when I was there as mine was the first year to have the joint sixth forms with the ladies college Wink

Most memorable thing I can think of is the then headmaster having to leave after allegedly being caught with the secretary

This school stinks of decadent, spoilt, corrupt, elitist brats. Close this school and the other dreadfully awful ladies college (no ladies there) and our education system and island would be a better place. Some of the worst and corrupt Deputies in the island (and this also includes some of the current Deputies) went there ........Great building it would make a smashing museum..........

Good god steve, if it were the last school on this planet I would rather be taught by dyslexic pygmies then attend such a forum of privilege trash. Kat, whilst I agree that there are some extremely decent ex pupils of EC we have a two tier education system here in Gsy and hundreds if not thousands of children have been left behind by morons who were in charge of the education policies who thought it was their right to govern all because they attended that dreadful school. These very same morons did not and do not give a dam about any other child’s education or welfare so don’t give me any equality trash.

The 11+ a fine example of an exam system which is and was a form of torture, thousands of children’s futures were destroyed by this appalling form of planning one's educational future, employment and life in some respects. You were screwed if you were dyslexic or had social problems. The other problem was the terrible teachers who had their favorites or the parents were masons, attended same bloody church.....hence EC....The fee payers got it right..
