War games in Alderney
The Jersey Field Squadron has been in Alderney this weekend for a series of training exercises involving helicopters and landing craft.
Soldiers were flown from Jersey in Gazelles from 658 squadron of the Army Air Corps Volunteers based at Netheravon in Wiltshire.
The Royal Alderney Militia also took part - playing the enemy.
The war games involved ambushing; mine laying; close target recces and beach landings. (from CIonline)
