Attempt to sack Bailiff fails

An attempt to sack Jersey's Bailiff, over comments he made in his Liberation Day Speech, has failed.

Sir Phillip Bailhache attracted criticism when he used the occasion to question the media coverage of the historic child abuse inquiry.

Deputy Shona Pitman brought a motion of no confidence in the States earlier calling for him to go (from CIonline)
