Six injured in triple car smash

Six people have been injured in a serious road accident in Guernsey.

Two cars and a skip lorry collided at the Ville au Roi crossroads this afternoon (Wednesday).

Two people were trapped in a car which was sandwiched between the other two vehicles. They had be to cut free.

Four women, a man and a child were taken to hospital. No one was seriously injured, but the youngster is being kept in hospital for observations.

Rescuers were at the scene for more than an hour after the accident happened just before 4pm. (from CIonline)
