Castle jewellery is stolen

Costume jewellery used by re-enactors at Mont Orgueil in Jersey has been stolen.

A dozen items were taken earlier this week from a jewellery box which was kept in a staff room at the castle.

The items include a hallmarked 24-inch silver chain; a silver cross-shaped ring set with fake rubies and pearls; two medieval-style copper rings; a silver moonstone ring and a Tudor-style ring with a very large blue stone.

Anyone who has been offered any of the items is asked to call the police. (from CIonline)
