Senior police officer arrested

A SENIOR police officer has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault on a female colleague on a boat.

The alleged incident is said to involve the police officer, his wife and the colleague.

The JEP has learned that the woman claims that she was ‘groomed’ by the police officer and his wife, who took her for a meal before heading to a boat in the harbour.

It is understood that the victim claims to have been seriously sexually assaulted by the senior police officer while on the boat, and fled in the early hours of the morning. The distraught woman, who is not a police officer, reported the incident and made a statement to officers last week. (from thisisjersey)

Well, here's another alleged incident that we will have to wait and see if it turns out to be true. One thing's for sure - if it turns out to be substantiated then it certainly won't improve the image of the island in light of all the other negative publicity reported by the media in recent months!

Well gsyguy there're two SoJ Police officers under investigation, so maybe the wife is an officer too?

It will be interesting to see this play out, to see the outcome whether the accusations are true or not, but also to see the reactions of the certain members of the public/lynch mob who have recently accepted accusations without evidence, and backed senior Police officers as 'undoubted' when it's a fact that the SoJ Police have a terrible record as an industry for corruption.

Either way this is really messed up!

For starters, if she was raped and stuff it's disgusting. Why the hell do people do that? ITS A NO! Except it and get over it. I think rape is worse than murder. Bring back proper punishment to sort out these b****rds.

Secondly, if it's not true what the hell is she getting from all this? some sort of kick knowing that she is messing with peoples lives? It's actually not funny or helpful for anyone who has been raped and infact it will probably do a lot more hurt for anyone who has ever been involved with some sort of incident like this. Let's assume it's not true...she is obviously f****ing up the lives of the couple involved because i doubt people will leave them alone after this and what about their families? What about her own family?

More seriously though: I know where you're coming from, and would agree that in many cases (not all) rape is worse than murder, in the sense that the pain involved lasts a lot longer.

Yeah it's true. I'm not trying to say that murder is good or anything like that and i can't possibly imagine the pain that the families must go through that are left.
This topic just hits too hard in the wrong places..

If they are found guilty then they should face jail........Rape in both islands (like child abuse) is covered up and those culprits are protected.......

A couple of days ago you couldn't accept that Lennie Harper could be anything but an honourable, up-standing Police officer, how is he any different to these officers?
