Computer records ransacked in security breach

It's emerged personal data, including the bank details of residents at Guernsey's Maison Maritaine care home, has been stolen from a States internet system.

The hacker copied personal details of current and former residents at the home, and the system is still being examined to see whether any other sensitive information was taken.

All current residents and their families have been informed, while the relevant banks will be taking action to protect accounts. (from CTV)
