Longfrie Inn Empty Re: Longfrie Inn

We went to the Longfrie last night for my daughter's 9th birthday in the knowledge that it has only recently re-opened after being renovated and under new management.

The new management (Anthony and Lizzie - previously from the old Pony Inn amongst other establishments) have done a fantastic job in reviving what has been a dive for a couple of years.

All refurbished - with the Playzone now not only having the soft play toys for younger kids, but three screens and games consoles for the older kids. The restaurant part is also looking great with new carpet and seats etc. - very warm and inviting.

The menu is fantastic and caters for diverse tastes with daily specials and kids menus, and the prices are also great value. You know that you aren't going to be charged over the odds when a bottle of Veuve Cliquot Champagne is £29!

Highly recommended, and you will be well looked after and not leave dissappointed.

I have to agree with you MarkyD....I went there yesterday 2nd Jan 2009 and have to say it was brilliant. I went there with my son and a friend with her two girls...We got there for 12 noon when the doors open and it was packed. Luckily my friend had phoned and booked a table. The children enjoyed the play area and the food was out of this world and plentiful. You were not rushed even though there were people waiting for tables to become available. Will definately be planning to go back there again.
