Co-op advert makes history

The Co-operative Group's (Co-op's) new television commercial will take up the whole of the advertising break during Coronation Street when it debuts in under two weeks.

It is the first time a single advert as occupied the entire break in the popular soap opera.

Marketing director Patrick Allen said: "The Co-op is extremely proud of this campaign and we are delighted that we have been able to secure the exclusive revealing of our new brand in such a high profile manner.

"Our brand vision is 'Good For Everyone' so it's only right that we had a launch that could be seen by millions of people across the country."
