PRECIOUS photos of two newborn cousins have been lost when the laptop they were stored on was stolen.
The computer’s owners, Paula McDaid and her partner Chris Dragun, are appealing for the return of the laptop, which was taken in the early hours of yesterday.
It contains precious images of their new-born daughter, who is yet to be named and of Miss McDaid’s four-week-old nephew, Aidan.
It also has important details and plans for their wedding in August.
It was stolen from their home address in Mount Durand at around 5.20am.
Miss McDaid, 34, said she had heard something in the night and had got up. She went upstairs to check if it was one of her son’s, Haygan, 8, or Connor, 1, who had caused it.
‘Everything was fine, so I just went back to bed,’ she said.
‘It wasn’t until the morning that I noticed it had gone, but I thought my sister, Rachael, might have had it in her room. It wasn’t until around 11am that I asked her for it and she said she hadn’t had it and we then realised what had happened.’
The only photographs of the couple’s new daughter, who was born on the 10 February, were stored on the laptop.
Miss McDaid’s sister Rachael, 22, lives at the same address and has a four-week-old son, Aidan. The only photographs of him had also been stored onto the same machine. (from thisisguernsey)

Lets hope that that the laptop is returned...

Agree Thistle, very concerning particularly as there were young babies in the house.

With the economic downturn I suppose this might be the start of more of this as people get desperate for money........ does not make it right of course!

Let's hope the culprit is caught soon!
