GFSC APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR GENERAL



Guernsey has appointed a new boss for its financial regulator…. As Peter Neville leaves the post, Nik Van Leuven, who currently serves as Her Majesty's Procurer (sic) will take over as the Director General of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. Mr Van Leuven said, in a written statement, he's honoured to be joining the Commission, especially at such a difficult time for global financial services.

This is an interesting development, as Mr Van Leuven is a senior Lawyer and should bring a different approach to the traditional banking route that has been the normal previously. Time will tell.



I wonder who the new HM Procureur will be?
