Liverpool meet Chelsea in Champions League quarter-finals
Liverpool and Chelsea will renew their Champions League rivalry after being drawn together in the quarter-finals today.
The Premier League sides have played each other four times in the past four seasons of the competition, most recently in the semi-finals last year when Chelsea won 4-3 on aggregate.
Uefa have confirmed that Liverpool won't have to play the second leg of their quarter-final on the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy. The match will take place on April 14.
Manchester United, the holders, are likely to be happy with their draw against Porto, the Portuguese champions. Arsenal will play Villarreal, the Spanish club who finished fourth in La Liga.
The other tie pitches Barcelona, the joint favourites with United, against Bayern Munich. The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be relieved that the champions have avoided Bayern Munich. The United winger this morning picked them out as the side he feared most.
“Bayern Munich are very strong,” Ronaldo said. “I watched them play against my old team, Sporting Lisbon, and I was very sad because I didn’t expect Sporting to lose so heavily.
“But this can happen in football. Bayern are very good - they have mature players, strong players, quick players. Franck RibĂ©ry and Miroslav Klose are very impressive. Bayern play like a team and they look very difficult to beat.”
Barcelona, you have been warned.

Re: Liverpool meet Chelsea in Champions League quarter-finals
Barcelona will beat Bayern easily having watched the germans live this season in the champions league they are not in the same class and if those freindly bookmakers are as silly as Ronaldo i will be betting big time.
