Gerry''s Restaurant,Bar,Bistro...
I was taken out for lunch today and we decided to go here..
After hearing so many mixed reports about the place i was a little reluctant at first but i am very pleased to say i needn't of been....
The place is lovely..clean and fresh and modern.....
The food was absolutely delicious..very generous portions...well presented..
Wine was good too :)
I will definitely be going back ....SOON......and i would happily recommend this place to anyone....
10/10 from me....
Good luck Gerry..... :)

Re: Gerry's Restaurant,Bar,Bistro...
Well what would Gordon Ramsay have said if he went there today
"Total Rubbish" the place certainly needs a good kick up the rear
Special lunchtime time menu was issued with the words "Sorry No Salad meals available" so that was a third of the menu out,
I ordered Gerry's Famous Burger, well it was famous for processed cheese and el-cheapo beef burger bought from the Cash'n'Carry.
How can a place like this have NO salad meals available this time of year
Plus if you want a sweet, don't hold out, they might have the odd Ice Cream if you are lucky.
It seems such a shame as my wife had been to this place twice earlier in the year and had a good meal.
Don't think it will see us again, maybe the rumours that I have heard about the place being in trouble, and possibly closing could be true...

Re: Gerry's Restaurant,Bar,Bistro...
The first time I went I asked if there were any vegetarian meals and was asked why? followed by who wants to be a vegetarian anyway? no answer to that one - so needless to say they lost us at the first hurdle!!! shame really - lovely location....

Re: Gerry's Restaurant,Bar,Bistro...
Lovely location apart from when the wind blows in that lovely aroma from Mont Cuet!!
We went a few weeks ago with the intention of sitting outside however it was impossible due to the foul smell. It was a beautiful evening, about 6.30pm, and there were 2 people having a coffee inside, nobody else at all.
Sadly I think their days are numbered.

Re: Gerry's Restaurant,Bar,Bistro...
Well quelle surprise! Was meeting a friend for lunch and we always go to Olivers - good food, nice staff and halfway between our houses!!! Today arriving early and wondering why the car park was usually deserted - saw the notice on the door saying Sorry! Monday's Closed (we usually go on a Monday duh!!!) so met up and decided the nearest place was Oatlands which was packed to capacity and although offered a table we declined as the acoustics in there even when half empty prevent me for hearing!!! So next choice was Gerrys! My friend had never been and to say she was delighted and impressed would be an understatement! We both had the Greek Salad which was superb and a portion of fries between us....food was good, service was very good and the price was very reasonable - so it is obviously an on/off location.....Oh and it was full to capacity................
