Two historic abuse cases dropped Empty Two historic abuse cases dropped

Post by GD Thu 04 Jun 2009, 2:09 pm

Two cases in the Jersey historic abuse enquiry will not be prosecuted after they were dropped "for legal and evidential reasons".
The first case involved an employee who used to work at the former Haut de la Garenne children's home.
The second case involved house parents of a former St Clement children's home.
Jersey's Attorney General, William Bailhache said he had not found sufficient grounds to prosecute in either case.
Nine alleged victims gave evidence about the Haut de la Garenne case but Mr Bailhache questioned the credibility of some of it.
He also said the complaints did not support each other enough.
The couple who ran the former St Clement children's home, now live in France and attempts to interview them have been unsuccessful.
Charges against the couple were dropped by the island's Attorney General in 1998 and the current Attorney General said he had not found sufficient evidence for overturning his predecessor's decision.
Those claiming to be victims in the two separate alleged abuse cases which have now been dropped were notified by police on Wednesday night that their cases would not be going any further.
Historic abuse investigations are still ongoing in Jersey however, with three cases currently going through the island's court system. (from BBC )

Bill Bailhache Lets Off

The Blanch Pierre Abusers

To Protect Michael Birt

And The Rest of The Jersey Oligarchy.

Well – although it was inevitable – the news is yet another savage abuse inflicted on the survivors by the Jersey oligarchy.

The two psychotic, abusing maniacs who tortured children for the best part of a decade during the 1980’s – will not be extradited from France – and will not face justice.

Forgive the brevity of this post – but I’m literally too angry to type properly.

I heard from my sources that a press-release, embargoed until midnight, will be issued by Bill Bailhache this afternoon.

I called survivors and asked them how they were.

What follows – you just couldn’t make up.

The survivors didn’t know.

They – the most important people involved in this situation - hadn’t been told of the decision.

Jersey oligarchy media had been informed of the story, and are waiting for this afternoon’s embargoed press release – before the survivors were informed that the two maniacs and thugs who abused them will not face justice.

This is abuse – all over again.

For the Jersey oligarchy – it’s far more important to get their spin-doctoring in-place first – rather than inform the most important people – the survivors; people whose lives have been wrecked by the States of Jersey.

You see - it's a "convenient" time to make the decision public - as Birt is on holiday - so can't be subjected to the media fire-storm this contemptible creature deserves.

The words disgusting, contemptible, sickening, disgraceful and dishonest just do not suffice to describe this conduct by Bill Bailhache and the Jersey oligarchy.

The survivors – having been informed by me, contacted the police – who reluctantly admitted that, yes, the couple would not face justice, and that their plan had been to call the survivors and inform them this evening.

That’s after the press-release will be in the hands of the media.

Yet the cops – under the “New Management” of David Warcup & co – were far more interested in how the survivors found out about the spin-doctoring of the decision.

The Jersey oligarchy – rotten to the core.

These people who have an iron grip on power in Jersey – have now delivered to the McGuires a hat-trick of corrupt let-offs.

and now we must add to the catalogue of shame and disgrace –

As I said – I’m too angry and upset to write at length now.

But be assured – in the coming days I will write in detail about this stinking betrayal.

In the mean-time – I must do what I can to support the survivors.

Stuart.

It's the horrendous abuse of power that frightens me and I'm not easily scared.I'd be very cautious if coming up against this cabal.

The Jersey oligarchy obviously prefer to believe that the dozens and dozens of victims of abuse are all liars, and the monsters who used to (and maybe still do) work in the supposed "care" of children are all blameless.

It's scandalous, I can't believe that people aren't taking to the streets about it. I definitely would be if the same situation existed over here (Guernsey).

Perhaps we should force Bill Bailhache to drink detol and have his arm broken, then tell him that the Law doesn't apply in his case.

Let him walk in their shoes for one day

As wrong as all this seems I suppose it would be hard to prove a case, One side says this happened and the other side will deny it, unless there are witnesses to say they actually saw it happen, the case would just collapse.
