lower speed limits
Daniel Wimberley, deputy for St Mary, wants to have a island wide 20mph limit in all bult up areas in the island, backed with stronger enforcement. I think that might mean upping the limit from 15mph on a few green lanes, but generally lowering from 30 mph in built up areas. Since my children go to St Mary school, and I know the number of near misses on the vicinity of St Mary Village I get why he's proposing it.
I can assure you its frightening at times getting children to a primary school on foot when there are no footpaths.
