Does anyone know if/when this is going to reopen???? It has been closed for most of the summer and I really miss it! There is a sign in the window saying something about maintenance....also next door in the window of Burtol's Dry Cleaners....was eating a Siam the other night and they said they are closing tomorrow (24th September) as that is when their lease with The Co-op is up! Looks like from having a great choice we are now losing them......If anyone knows I would be interested - otherwise I will have to go to the Chinese Gourmet which is my second choice for a lazy night in!!!!

Was that the Chinese that all the staff were arrested as they were illegals? I seem to remember that it was and so that will be the reason.....

Illegals trying to get away with it in Guernsey?!!! They must have been told back home that it was a sprawling, multi-ethnic city.

But they weren't working at Burtol next door and that has the same notice in the window......and the notice went up after Guernsey Gas had dug a hole outside of the two premises......strange! Perhaps it was a tunnel from Shanghai to the Bridge and it's been blocked!!!!

I always found them charming and the service was really good and friendly + they always did exactly what I asked i.e. when I ask for Chinese Mushrooms I do not want to wade through a pound of rawish onion first!!! which most takeaways are prone to do!!! I have had a lot of meals from there and so has Razz and we have not been ill from any of them (and Razz always had Special Fried Rice..which has all the ingredients for food poisoning i.e. undercooked prawns/pork etc etc) + it was always full of customers - so guess we were all lucky!!!! Having been in catering for years I am rather loathe when I'm eating out to think of the state of any kitchen wherever it may be Shocked My grandson's aunt used to do the 'surprise' rounds for the States Board of Health and she preferes to eat in now Surprised - it's called living dangerously!!!! Having written all that I am now hankering after a Chinese takeaway duh!!!!
