Blue Islands lottery giveaway
Blue Islands is giving three lucky passengers the chance to win £1,000,000. The airline has purchased three £300 tickets for Guernsey’s Million Pound Lottery, in aid of Les Bourgs Hospice, and will be giving customers the chance to enter a draw and win one of the golden tickets.
Entry forms are available in the airline’s complimentary airport lounge and the draw is open to Blue Islands passengers travelling through Guernsey from November 1st to November 30th. With over 5000 customers a month using the newly refurbished lounge, the airline is expecting plenty of interest. The three winners will be drawn on December 1st, just in time for the Les Bourgs Hospice Million Pound Lottery on December 5th.
Jack Honeybill, Chairman of Friends of Les Bourgs Hospice, said he was delighted with the airline’s support ‘we’ve sold 4500 of the 5000 tickets so we just need to sell the last few before the draw on December 5th. The publicity generated through Blue Islands will hopefully encourage syndicates or individuals to purchase these last few tickets.’
This is the second year that the Million Pound Lottery has taken place and is a significant fundraising initiative for Les Bourgs Hospice. In 2008 the charity raised £380,000 from ticket sales, and this year it hopes to raise even more.
