Online Jersey retailer gives boost to local economy
The Jersey based Indigo Lighthouse Group has launched an online retail brand that will expose Jersey goods to a database of over 5 million customers in the UK and Europe, and help create jobs in Jersey.
www.indigostarfish.com is a boutique gift site selling a range of indulgence goods, including brands from Jersey such as IQ, Jersey Pottery and Le Mare Vineyards.
CEO of the Indigo Lighthouse Group, Alan Cox said, ‘The launch of indigostarfish.com is part of our continued growth of infrastructure in Jersey and commitment to the island. Success for our online Starfish brand will not only create seasonal and temporary positions within our group, but have benefits to the wider economy by showcasing some of the best of what Jersey products have to offer.’
Jonathan Jones of Jersey Pottery said, ‘The indigostarfish.com product range has been selected for its stylish and indulgent appeal, and I am delighted that Jersey Pottery and other local brands have been viewed in this way. We will all benefit from a significant marketing and database resource that we simply would not have had access to otherwise.’
Indigo Lighthouse Group recently won the World Class Excellence Award: Global Standard Mature at the Customer Contact Association (CCA) annual conference in Edinburgh. The company was the only UK call centre to meet the category requirements.
Alan Cox continued, ‘It is our intention to deliver the best of the best to our customers; winning the award is testament to this. I am thrilled that we have been able to partner with Jersey organisations that share the same world-class aspirations and delivery of top quality merchandise.’ (from ICfeed)
