Ice on Guernsey Airport's runway causes flight delays

Flights in and out of Guernsey were delayed earlier because of sub-zero temperatures overnight leading to ice forming on the airport's runway.
Early morning ice on the runway led to flights to and from Manchester, Jersey, Alderney and Gatwick being delayed as well as the arrival of the newspapers.
However, departure flights have now started to resume.

we had lots of hailstones up this way last evening and overnight.roads were quite icy first thing this morning.in fact it was snowing about 20 minutes agao too.just hope we dont get any overnight tonight.

outside temp at the moment is 2.6c
