High tide and winds alert for Guernsey

Warnings over high tides and strong winds on Guernsey's west coast have been issued.

A high tide of 9m (30ft) is expected at 1730 BST, coupled with south-westerly winds of up to 48kph (30mph).

Another alert has been issued for Monday when a 9.5m (31ft) high tide, together with similar wind speeds, are predicted just before 0600 BST.

Motorists and pedestrians using coastal routes are being warned to anticipate water breaking over the sea walls. (from BBC)
