Jersey Businesses still reporting decline in activity
Businesses in Jersey are still reporting a decline in Business Activity. That's according to the latest Business Tendency Survey.
The survey showed profitability was down across all sectors in the last quarter but retail and wholesale came out most unstable.
A big divide was seen between finance and non-finance sectors, with the finance industry significantly more optimistic than non-finance.
Employers reported improved confidence in future employment levels, but a low 1% predicted wage increase shows evidence of a struggling labour market.
