All change at the Guernsey shops?
Traditional High Street shopping in Guernsey could be about to change.
Politicians are looking at forming a blueprint for retailing. There has already been much discussion with both shoppers and shop owners.
A key factor is the plan for creating a new out-of-town shopping centre at Leale's Yard near The Bridge.
In the latest round of consultations, the Commerce and Employment Department has received seven submissions from interested groups.
The total annual spend in Guernsey is a third of a billion pounds, but internet and catalogue sales account for 15% of the trade in goods like electricals, clothes and furniture. (from CTV)
If the Leale's yard development goes ahead then St Peter Port town will die..
