Some materials are not compostable or are unsuitable for our composting process. To help us maintain our quality standards please ensure any green waste you deliver into our sites does not contain the following materials:

animal faeces
soiled animal bedding
treated / processed wood
wooden posts / fencing
large stones
glass
string
There are also some plants that may be harmful to humans, animals and the composting process. The following plants have been identified as 'noxious weeds' and should not be disposed of with other green / garden waste:

ragwort
broad & curly leaf dock
