People will have to pay more to park in future

PARKING charges are to rise as the Transport Department tries to get 1,800 commuters to leave their cars at home and walk, cycle or catch a bus to work.
Transport Minister Mike Jackson said that if his department had not achieved the target of cutting traffic by 15 per cent in the rush hour over the next five years it would have failed.
Mr Jackson made the comments yesterday during an Environment Scrutiny panel meeting, chaired by Deputy Phil Rondel, on the Sustainable Transport Policy (from BBC)

Unless the charges rise substantially I cannot seeing it making any real difference...

"Public Transport"??
