Price of flights from UK to Guernsey to increase

The £1 increase will be levied on all flights leaving the UK

Flights to Guernsey and Alderney from the UK will be more expensive as UK air passenger duty is rising by 10%.
The increase, which comes into effect on 1 November, equates to £1 on flights to the islands, meaning the duty on those flights will cost £11 per person.
Air passenger duty is a progressive tax levied by the UK government.
The system, which means the further you fly or the more expensive your seat the more you pay, was introduced in 2008 (from BBC)
