Wave looks to offer fibreoptic broadband
WAVE TELECOM plans to trial a fibre network for Guernsey homes next year.
It plans to make the world’s fastest broadband speeds available in Guernsey through the development of a fibreoptic and mobile broadband network.
Wave is already offering up to 10 gigabit services for business customers. Alongside this, planned improvements to the super-fast mobile broadband network will double speeds from 7.2 to 14.4 mbps before the end of the year.
Graeme Millar (pictured), chief executive of Jersey Telecom Group, Wave’s owner, said the improvements were part of its five-year growth strategy. (from GEP)
