Hundreds expected to turn up to protest
Hundreds of people are expected to turn up to a rally in Jersey this Wednesday, to protest about public sector cuts. It's being organised by the trade Union Unite who say that islanders are being forced to pay the penalty of the government's zero-ten policy. .
UNITE organised a similar rally at last year at Fort Regent in Jersey. They were angry about public sector cuts, and now in 2010, they're still angry. They say Islanders are paying the price for the government's 'disastrous zero ten policy' and as a result are facing cuts to hospital services, sports grants, school milk for primary school children and hikes in GST (from CTV)
