Guernsey have taken back the women's Muratti from long-time winners Jersey.

The side scooped a 1-0 victory over Jersey after a spectacular first half goal from Rochelle Vaudain.

The sides were neck-and-neck throughout, with Jersey keeping most of the possession in the first half.

After the goal tactics changed but Guernsey managed to keep their lead and took home the trophy. ( from Ci Online)

Great news, especially for women’s footy in the island. It needed an injection of news like this. Hopefully the old men of the GFA will sit up and take note these footy players mean business regardless of gender and equally hopefully 'The Giba Press' will do a great write up on a great victory.
