Total eclipse of the moon
If you don't mind rising early and you enjoy watching the heavens then make a date with your binnoculars early on Tuesday morning.
A total eclipse of the moon will begin at at 6.30. The Astronomy Section of La Société Guernesiaise tell us that the Moon will start entering the Earth's shadow, low in the west.
By 7.40am the Moon will be totally eclipsed, taking on a reddish hue against the twilit sky. It should make a good view in binoculars say La Societe.
The Moon, still eclipsed, will set at 8.10 am, by which time the Sun will already have risen. (from CTV)
