Alliance Cash&Carry
We use this store weekly - and last week we bought a slab of 20 Strongbow for the very reasonable price of £12.99!!
Hubby decided to indulge and the first can was still sealed, but had nothing in it - on examination we discovered a hole in the bottom of the can - for one can he decided he couldn't be bothered to go back -but the next can was the same (looks as though the forklift might have gone through them!)
Today I took my receipt and the two offending cans back to Alliance - the gentleman who looks after the alcohol section said he would go and see if he had any cans spare - however he could not find any, then told me he couldn't open a slab just for two cans (I volunteered to take 4 for the trouble) but no he told me I would have to wait until there was another batch of damaged cans then (and only then) we could have a replacement.!! So now the thing is Alliance has our money up front (and now also the two damaged cans) and we are expected to keep calling back and asking if we can have our cans back!!! Maybe I am being picky for two cans of Strongbow, but the two damaged cans made the price higher than advertised, and with no attempt at an apology I really do not think this is very good customer service..........what says you?????

Re: Alliance Cash&Carry
Result:
Dear Jo
I would like to apologise for your inconvenience.
The gentleman in the wines department should have spoken to our customer services about your problem.
We would like to offer you 2 x 4 packs of Stongbow as a way of an apology.
If you have any problems in the future please ask for one of the Management Team at the checkouts.
If you ask for Tracy at the checkouts when you come in I will be pleased to give you your cider.
Yours truly,
Tracy Thorne
Assistant Manager

.....Razz was delighted with the result - went to Alliance to pick up the 2 x 4 packs - got a genuine apology and the replacement packs were pints :-) we had purchased 440mls - so they really pulled the stops out - thank you Tracy and Alliance :-)
