Charity march to bring injured soldiers to Jersey
A former soldier is planning to march 100 miles around Jersey dressed in full combat gear to raise money for the island's Holidays for Heroes charity.
During the challenge Lee Crow, who now works as a prison officer at HMP La Moye, will be carrying equipment weighing 30lb (13.6kg).
Holidays for Heroes pays for injured servicemen and women to come to Jersey on holiday with their families.
Mr Crow is hoping to raise enough money to pay for 10 holidays.
Mr Crow, who served in Kosovo and Iraq, said: "I know that walking continuously for 100 miles in full combat gear will be hard going.
"But what is a few blisters and sore legs when it means raising funds to bring over to the island, military and ex military men and women who have been injured whilst on duty."
The march will begin at midnight on 11 March and is expected to finish on 13 March. (from BBC)
