Iceland trek will help Jersey care home
A team of walkers will be trekking across Iceland in support of a Jersey charity in September.
The Jersey Cheshire Home, which costs more than £4,000 a day to run, offers lifetime medical care for 23 disabled people in St Helier.
The only help the charity gets from the government is a contribution towards the costs of residence.
Trek Iceland is due to take place from 10 to 15 September and is open to anyone who is over the age of 18.
Spaces are still available on the sponsored walk, details of which are on the charity's website. (from BBC)
