POLICE are still looking for, but say they know they identity of, the driver of a truck which was left hanging over the edge of a narrow Forest green lane yesterday afternoon.
They believe it is the same driver who abandoned his 4×4 vehicle on L’Ancresse Common last week after apparently getting lost in fog.
The red tipper truck, from company Turfs R Us, had been driven down the lane, which is prohibited to vehicles, near Le Chene.
It had come off the muddy track and was hanging with its two driver’s side wheels almost off the ground.(from GEP)
