Do you have a special talent, are you the next Matt Cardle? This could be your chance to shine!

An opportunity has arisen for local performers to raise money for charity and gain a spot on the Jersey Live line up.

On May the 21st at Hotel de France, 12 acts will take part in The Spring Spectacular, competing for a place at the festival whilst trying to raise at least £100,000.

All of the money raised will go towards building a 12 bed unit building at the Southampton General Hospital for patients suffering with cancer in Jersey, Guernsey and the south of England.

The money will go to providing playstations and computers with internet access, also pool tables, musical entertainment and satellite television for the patients. The project is going to cost a total of £1.3 million to complete.

Jersey Live organisers Warren Le Sueur and Warren Holt will be judging the fundraiser and choosing which act will have a spot on the line up at the festival.

The event is open to talents including singers, bands, comedians and dancers between the age of 12 to 24.
